Job Summary

As the FIELD & SOCIAL RESTAURANT MANAGER you are accountable for daily shop operations. You are responsible for leading the team to deliver exceptional customer service, managing overall operations of the shop, supervising and directing the team, making staffing decisions (i.e., hiring, training, performance managing, scheduling), managing the shop’s financial performance and ensuring safety and security within the shop. You are cultivating and inspiring the team to deliver on the FIELD & SOCIAL culture and company values.

Team

  • Maintaining the FIELD & SOCIAL brand's distinct culture and community.
  • Responsible for overall customer experience, quality of product, and presentation of salad shop.
  • Providing coaching and direction to the shop team to take action and achieve operational goals. 
  • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, motivating, directing, and evaluating the shop team performance.
  • Rotating throughout service stations as needed, working alongside the team – setting the tone for the shop.
  • Receiving, delivering, and acting on feedback positively to create a respectful, productive and professional work environment.
  • Recognizing and reinforcing individual and team accomplishments. 


Operations

  • Coordinating Back of House (BOH) and Front of House (FOH) to ensure quality and consistency in product and service.
  • Managing customer service in the shop and online queries. You ensure all clients’ issues and concerns are tended in a positive and timely manner.
  • Liaising and coordinating with catering clients – ensuring seamless experience between clients and the team.
  • Ensuring supplies are stocked, menus are updated, equipment is in working order, and all FOH & BOH areas are impeccably organized and clean at all times.
  • Fluency with all FOH equipment (POS Systems, music systems, etc.) and basic BOH equipment knowledge and troubleshooting.
  • Implementing and enhancing standard operating policies and procedures designed to support the shop.


Financials

  • Utilizing all management reporting tools and analyze financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in shop performance.
  • Working closely with the Kitchen Lead and Regional Chef to ensure success in implementing a consistent menu based on revenue targets, Cost of Goods (COGS) budget, and labour budget.
  • Tracking and reporting on COGS and Labour % to achieve goals as set out by the Company.
  • Scheduling team based on projected sales and labour goals.
  • Reporting on inventory metrics - ensuring an accurate ordering and controlling waste.
  • Submitting hours for payroll. 


Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • 1+ years supervisory/management experience in restaurants, coffee shops or health + fitness
  • Demonstrated leadership skills (decision making, problem-solving, training and developing)
  • Exceptional communication skills - must be able to set clear expectations and provide specific and effective feedback 
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in the moment
  • Food Safe Certification is an asset
